Georgia Cribb has been Director of NETS Victoria since July 2005. As Director, Georgia manages the artistic program and oversees the organisation’s operations. Prior to becoming Director, she worked as NETS Victoria’s Program Manager for two years.

Georgia’s specialty in contemporary art and design is reflected in her diverse background in curating, developing and touring exhibitions with regional and corporate collections. She has also undertaken numerous independent curatorial projects since 1999. Georgia graduated in 1998 from the University of Melbourne with a postgraduate degree in art curatorship. Prior to this she obtained an honours degree in fine art (painting) from RMIT University. In 2006 Georgia was also the recipient of an Australia Council Skills and Development (Emerging) grant where she undertook an internship with Artangel in the UK.

Jane Barlow

Jane Barlow is responsible for the delivery of NETS Victoria’s touring exhibition program, which involves freight logistics, registration, conservation management, and installation support for tour venues along with ensuring professional museum standards. Jane brings to NETS Victoria a diverse background in the museum and gallery sector that includes registration, collection management and exhibitions coordination in a variety of museological, historical and contemporary art. Jane graduated in 1998 from the University of Tasmania with an honours degree in fine art. She is also a practising artist who has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Tasmania and Victoria since 1996.


Emily Jones

Emily Jones shares the responsibility of delivering NETS Victoria’s touring exhibition program and is currently project managing the exhibition, Loop: new Australian video art. Emily graduated in 1998 from the University of Tasmania with a degree in Fine Art and completed a graduate diploma in Museum Studies at Deakin University in 2004. She brings to NETS Victoria a diverse background in the museum and gallery sector that includes registration, collection management and curatorial responsibilities.

Melissa Hart

Melissa Hart is responsible for the public relations, marketing, publishing and development of NETS Victoria and its touring exhibition program. Prior to joining NETS Victoria in October 2006, she worked at Monash Gallery of Art where she was responsible for publicity, marketing, design and publications. She has a diverse background in project management, marketing and publishing across the education and library and information sectors. Melissa is also a freelance writer and the Artnotes Victoria columnist for ‘Art Monthly Australia’ magazine.

EDUCATION CONSULTANT

Kate Barber
[Freelance]

Kate Barber has a background in visual arts, education and arts management. Graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1989 with a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts), Kate later completed a Postgraduate Diploma (Arts Management) at the Victorian College of the Arts. From 2000-04, Kate was employed as Education and Public Programs Manager at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), where she developed a comprehensive program of in-house, web-based and outreach art education programs. Kate is currently employed at Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) in Audience Development and Public Programs. As an education consultant Kate has developed web-based interpretive education kits, exhibition texts and resources for the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) and National Exhibitions Touring Support (NETS), Victoria. Kate recently co-curated (with Jan Duffy) the exhibition ‘Reflections in a Golden Eye‘ at Linden St Kilda Centre for Contemporary Arts (2006). Kate is a former committee member of Museums Australia Education Group Victoria (MAEGV) and is passionate about increasing youth access to and enjoyment of contemporary art.
